Meerut: On Mother's Day, elderly woman reunited with son missing for 2 years

MEERUT: It has been more than two years since Babloo, 24, became angry on a trivial issue and left home wowing never to return. His mother never lost hope, and waited for him.


The family had even filed a missing persons report at local police station. After several rounds of the thana, SHO Rajeev Kumar took the matter seriously.



Kumar dug out Babloo’s whereabouts and through his knowledge in cyber investigation tracked the exact location of Babloo which came out to be Teekamgarh district in Rajasthan. “Mother’s Day was approaching and I took up the challenge. Negotiating our way through police department of Rajasthan , we brought Babloo to his house in Muzaffarnagar village, right on the Mother’s Day.”

Gyan Chand, Babloo’s father, said, “He had left home exactly 25 months ago, and ever since we had been looking for him. He had left his mobile here. We always hoped that one day he might make a call on this number. We waited. It was just about a week ago when a missed call came. It was also the time when police officer had been looking into the details of his whereabouts.”

SHO Kumar added, “The missed call came from Rajashthan that set me thinking and we began tracking the number and one thing led to another.” Babloo’s mother Kusum Devi said, “It was the best moment of my life. Every day I waited for my son. I had no idea where he was and what he was doing. I don’t want to remember the bad experience. He is back and I am happy.”
