Mild tremors of 4.0 felt in parts of Rajasthan

JAIPUR: A mild 4.0 magnitude earthquake was felt in some parts of Rajasthan in the early hours of Sunday.


Sikar was the epicentre of the earthquake, according to the meteorological department. Tremors were felt in Jaipur, Alwar , Bharatpur Jhunjhunu and Pilani.

Many who got up early in the morning felt the tremors, while some woke up from their sleep following the impact.

The epicentre of the quake was 10km below the surface of the earth near Sri Madhopur between Sikar and Jaipur.
