Mishap sparks protest in Sikar

Jaipur: There was tension in Sikar city following an argument over a bike hitting a shopkeeper on Thursday.

Additional police force has been deployed in the city to avert any untoward incident. Deputy SP (DSP) Saurabh Tiwari told TOI that cross cases have been registered in the matter and no violence took place.

“A youth was taking his sister home on a bike when the vehicle hit a shopkeeper. They had a heated argument but the police quickly intervened,” he said.

Some local shopkeepers closed their shops to protest against the alleged scuffle and demanded police action. tnn
