Modi 'Lahar' has become 'Lalkar' and gives sleepless nights to opposition

Odisha: On Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the voters for turning out in large numbers in the first two phases of Lok Sabha Elections 2019. Addressing a rally in Odisha’s Kendrapara, Modi said the good voter turnout has started to give “sleepless nights” to the Opposition. He added “Response in the first two phases of polls is giving sleepless nights to Opposition parties,” PM Modi told the crowd in Odisha.

“Lahar (wave) for the BJP has become Lalkar (challenge) for the Opposition after two phases of polls,”.

Here it is to be noted that Modi told the electorate in Odisha that while the previous regimes were mired in corruption, there are no corruption allegations against his government.“You have seen many governments in the past; ours is the only one which hasn't been mired in any scams,” Modi told the rally. Asking the people of Odisha to vote for the Bharatiya Janata Party for the wheel of development to move forward, the PM said, “How will Odisha's car move forward if it has three wheels of the BJP and one of some other party.” The remark was aimed at Naveen Patnaik’s Biju Janata Dal (BJD), which is the ruling party in the state.

The PM said “It's confirmed that in Odisha, BJD will go and BJP will come to power after polls. However, I wanted their farewell to be a good one, but the way violence has been used in last few days, today I want to say, 'Naveen babu, aap jaa rahe ho, apka jaana tay hai',”. The PM also took a swipe at Congress president Rahul Gandhi over the Rafale allegations his government. “Those levelling false allegations against the BJP are found standing in the dock,” Modi said.
