Mohan Bhagwat takes stock of Covid relief, meets volunteers

BHOPAL: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday reviewed the relief work undertaken by volunteers during Covid-19 in Madhya Bharat and Malwa regions.

On a two-day visit to the state capital, the RSS chief reviewed the various activities of the sangh and urged workers to make special efforts to help mohalla and rural education centres to cover up the academic loss during the ongoing crisis.

Bhagwat also gave his nod to changes in the work arrangement of different regional heads.

The meeting of senior RSS cadre was held at Thengadi Bhawan. Bhagwat exchanged views with the regional heads regarding services and relief work, apart from listening to their experiences during the crisis," said RSS sanghchalak (Madhya Bharat region) Satish Pimplikar after the first day deliberations.

The meeting also appreciated the work done by RSS volunteers as they helped a large number of people from different sections of the society.

"Bhagwat also urged people and volunteers to contribute to environment conservation and family management. Sarsanghchalak said that there has been unanimity in the society about social harmony. Volunteers should try to make this a permanent acceptance," Pimplikar said.

The RSS has also made changes in the responsibilities of some regional heads. Mukesh Dixit has been replaced by Suresh Jain as the head of Samidha, the Sangh office in Bhopal.

Jain has been appointed as deputy of the field office. Omprakash Sisodia will be the regional publicity incharge of Bhopal. Changes were also made in Gwalior, Vidisha, Hoshangabad and Datia regions, said sources.
