Mumbai Indians begin training at Wankhede Stadium

MUMBAI: All-rounder Hardik Pandya , who was ruled out of India's just-concluded limited-overs series against Australia due to lower back stiffness, and India's 2011 World Cup hero Yuvraj Singh were the cynosure of all eyes as the Mumbai Indians held their first training session at the Wankhede Stadium ahead of IPL-12, on Sunday evening.




Yuvraj, now 37 and set to play for his sixth IPL team, was bought for Rs 1crore by MI in the IPL auction in Jaipur in December.

On Monday, skipper Rohit Sharma , pacer Jasprit Bumrah and West Indian opener Evin Lewis are set to join the nets. Kieron Pollard is set to join the team after playing in the PSL final in Karachi on Sunday. Veteran seamer Lasith Malinga , who's leading Sri Lanka in a limited overs series in South Africa, is likely to miss MI's first game, against Delhi Capitals on March 24 at the Wankhede.
