Muslims want 'Modi mandir' in UP's Muzaffarnagar

MUZAFFARNAGAR: A few BJP women workers of minority community on Thursday approached the collectorate and presented a memorandum to build a “museum”, calling it “Modi mandir”. The delegation was led by BJP worker Samar Gajni and Rubi Gajni, a member of the party’s women wing.

Gajni told TOI on Friday, “PM Modi is doing well and has done a lot for the country and its citizens.

He is being awarded even by other countries. So, we are going to build a Modi mandir in Krishnapuri area.”

The decision comes weeks after the UAE government awarded PM Narendra Modi with the highest civilian honour ‘Order of Zayed’. Now, BJP members from the minority community in Muzaffarnagar feel they should do something unique for the PM.

So, Gajni and his wife, who is a member ‘Mahila Morcha Nagar Hanumant Mandal’ of the BJP decided to build a ‘Modi mandir’ on their own land in Krishnapuri colony. They are preparing to register a trust which will take care of the ‘mandir’.

Giving details of the project, Gajni said, “We are going to build a museum which will be known as Modi mandir and we are planning to keep a lot of information related to our PM at the mandir. There, may be, a Modi statue as well.”
