Mystery shrouds death of NIT student in Rourkela

Rourkela: A student of the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela died under mysterious circumstances on Monday. The deceased student, identified as Sayeed Munib Ahmed, was a second year student of Integrated Science at NIT.

Ahmed, who hails from Bhubaneswar, was rescued in an unconscious condition from the corridor of NIT hostel in Rourkela today.

Later, the college authorities rushed Ahmed to the Community Welfare Society (CWS) hospital where he was declared brought dead by the doctors.

Though the exact reason behind Ahmed’s death is still unclear, senior police have started a probe into the matter. Moreover, an unnatural death case has been registered in connection with the incident, reports said.
