Navi Mumbai: Man stabs wife for illicit affair with brother-in-law, kills sister

NAVI MUMBAI: A 26-year-old man, an auto driver , residing in Kukshet village of Nerul node attacked his wife with a knife after he learnt that she continued extra-marital affair with his sister's husband despite warning her. The accused, The accused Nagesh Lad, then went to his sister's house in Nerul village to kill her husband but his sister intervened and he killed her as well.




"Four months ago, when Nagesh was arrested in an assault case, his wife Jyotsna (23), along with his sister's husband Jarman Singh (35), would often visit him in jail. Later Nagesh learnt that they were having an affair," said Chavan.

Chavan said that on Tuesday night, Nagesh reached his in-laws' place in Kukshet village. "He and Jyotsna had a few drinks on the terrace. Around 5am, the couple had a verbal spat over her alleged illicit relationship, and Nagesh attacked her with a knife on the neck and abdomen," said the police officer.

"Nagesh then went to his sister Sunita's house in Nerul village. He told her that he had stabbed his wife and will now kill her husband too. Sunita refuted the allegation as false and the siblings had a heated argument. In a fit of rage, Nagesh stabbed his sister in the abdomen and rushed towards Jarman Singh to attack him. But Jarman managed to escape and reach Nerul police station."
