NCP MP Udyanraje courts controversy, says 'natural for boys to look at girls'

New Delhi: Stoking a controversy, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MP Udyanraje Bhosale has said that it is “natural for boys to look at girls.”

The NCP leader, who is also is the thirteenth descendant of Chhatrapati Shivaji made the statement in a school event when a girl asked him what to do about when a man or boy looks at girls wherever they go.

“If boys will not look at girls will they look at boys. It is natural for boys to look at girls,” he had said.

He, however, later said that such mindset of boys should be condemned and that he doesn’t support such thinking.

Bhosale, who is a member of the Lok Sabha from Satara constituency in Maharashtra, had a controversial past.  He was arrested in 1999 on the charges of murder but was acquitted a decade later after facing trial in a local court.

He also made headlines for his provocative acts and statements earlier. In 2014, a picture of Bhosale standing outside a church in Satara with a service revolver, reportedly borrowed from his armed police escort, surfaced on social media.
