New date for 151 Siliguri NEET students

KOLKATA: Some 151 students, who were unable to appear for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test ( NEET ) in Siliguri on May 5 because the question paper in Hindi — their choice of language — did not reach the exam centre, will get a chance to sit for the test on May 20, 2019, National Testing Agency (NTA) announced on Tuesday.



According to official notice by NTA, after going through the reasons shared for candidates in Bengal not getting the question paper in Hindi, it had decided to conduct the examination again for them.

“Candidates scheduled to appear at Centre 460906, Surendra Institute of Engineering & Management, Dhukuria, P.O. New Chamta, Siliguri-734009 in Hindi Medium but could not get question papers in that language. All these candidates are required to approach the city coordinator of Siliguri latest by 5pm on May 10, 2019. Candidates have to submit their grievances and documentary proof to verify they fall in the category. NTA would re-issue the admit card and also conduct the examination on May 20, 2019 for all such candidates,” the notification stated.

The exam will be held from 10am to 1pm at Surendra Institute of Engineering & Management in Siliguri on May 20.
