Since the revelation of ' De De Pyaar De 2 ', excitement for the film has surged. With Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh set to reunite for the sequel, rumors swirl that Anil Kapoor will join them in a pivotal role.

As per a report from Pinkvilla, the team has enlisted Anil Kapoor to portray a crucial character in De De Pyaar De 2.

The insider revealed, “Anil was bowled over by the concept of DDPD 2, and it was an instant yes from him. The humour quotient in De De Pyaar De 2 is said to be a level above the prequel, with an interesting dynamic between Ajay Devgn and Anil Kapoor .”

Adding to this, the source mentioned, “The tussle between Kapoor’s character and Ajay Devgn is the standout feature of De De Pyaar De 2. It’s a dynamic that got both excited, as they have never shared an on-screen equation like this before. The sequel follows Ajay and Rakul’s comedic escapades as they strive to win over Rakul’s family.” Additionally, the report indicated that Anil Kapoor is likely to portray Rakul's on-screen father.

The film will be looking to reap the benefit of the summer vacations too, as that’s when families step out in big numbers to consume content on the big screen,” revealed a close source.

'De De Pyaar De 1' featured Tabu in a prominent role, alongside Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh. The storyline revolves around Ashish (portrayed by Ajay), a 50-year-old divorcee who finds himself enamored with Ayesha (played by Rakul), a 26-year-old woman. Tabu portrays Ashish's ex-wife in the film. The narrative delves into the challenges and societal scrutiny Ashish encounters due to his relationship with someone significantly younger, exploring the intricate dynamics and complexities that ensue.
