Karan Johar Opens Up About His Relationship Status And 'Sad Ek Tarfa Pyaar'
Bollywood director Karan Johar is well-known for creating films that often bring tears to the eyes of hopeless romantics. One of his notable works, the 2016 romantic drama "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil," received a tremendous response from the audience as it delved into the theme of unrequited love. During a recent interview, Karan Johar reflected on the personal heartbreak that served as the inspiration behind this film, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma.
Karan Johar talks about relationships
“I haven’t been in very many relationships. When I came into my own, it was in my mid-30s when I realised that I could do what I wanted to do in the zone of love, it was difficult. It was not easy to find the right partner, and be in a relationship that was equal. I have had a bout of one-sided love, which I made Ae Dil Hai Mushkil from."
"It was my sad ek tarfa pyaar, which lasted many years, but taught me the power of love itself. Which is there in the line that Shah Rukh says, ‘To love someone, you don’t need that person’. I believe that very strongly; love became my weapon. It empowered me, even though it broke my heart,” KJo told designer Prabal Guraung.
Karan Johar is now single
