Rippling Co-founder Prasanna Sankar Denies Wife’s ‘Kidnapping, Prostitution’ Allegations, Shares WhatsApp Chats
Rippling co-founder Prasanna Sankar has responded to serious allegations made by his wife, Dhivya, regarding claims of kidnapping, prostitution and misconduct. Addressing the accusations in a detailed post on X, he released WhatsApp conversations, emails, and legal documents to support his stance.
The controversy erupted after Dhivya spoke to the media outside a police station, alleging that her child had been taken away without consent. She had filed a complaint with Thirumangalam police on March 9, stating that Sankar’s manager, Gokul Krishnan, took their son as per an agreement but did not return him after two days.
Denial of Kidnapping Claims
To counter the kidnapping accusations, Sankar shared a WhatsApp screenshot showing Dhivya’s voluntary instructions regarding their child’s custody arrangement. “She says I took him by force and threats. PFA - she instructs voluntarily when we should pick up the child from her house, as per the terms of the MOU custody agreement,” he wrote.
He also refuted claims that she was coerced into signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). Sankar shared an email exchange between their respective lawyers, demonstrating that the agreement was negotiated voluntarily. "Secondly, she claims I "forced" her to sign the MOU against her will. PFA - her lawyer is negotiating with my lawyer regarding the agreement. After many back and forths, a settlement is reached, voluntarily. I have never spoken to her till date, for many mos, after false cases," Prasanna Sankar said.
Response to Allegations of Misconduct
Addressing the claims of sexual misconduct and involvement in a prostitution case, Sankar stated that these accusations had been investigated by authorities in Singapore and the U.S., with no evidence found. He asserted, "SG police investigated this by seizing my phone and computers. Found no evidence and have cleared me of all these fake charges. She accused me of these again in Washington. Again judge ruled in my favor."
Furthermore, he challenged the claims regarding his alleged involvement in a prostitution case in the U.S., emphasizing that such records are publicly accessible, and no charges were ever filed against him.
The legal battle between Prasanna Sankar and Dhivya continues to unfold, with both parties presenting contrasting narratives.
