The 19th Asian Games officially kicked off in Hangzhou on September 23, 2023, after a one-year delay due to COVID-19 restrictions in China. This year, the Indian contingent boasts over 650 athletes who are vying for glory on the international stage.

Looking back to the previous edition of the Asian Games in Jakarta in 2018, India had a remarkable showing, clinching a record-breaking tally of 70 medals, including 16 gold medals.
