Nitish Bharadwaj: 'Mahabharat' and 'Ramayana' should be referred to as historicals, not mythological stories

The stories of ‘ Ramayan ’ and ‘Mahabharat’ have been told to us via different mediums over the years. Nitish Bharadwaj , who essayed the role of Lord Krishna in B.R Chopra’s magnum opus ‘Mahabharat’ back in the 80s, says that the stories of these epics are not mythological, but historical.

Explaining his reasoning, the senior actor says, “According to the oceanographic excavations that took place at Dwarka, there is substantial proof that Lord Krishna existed and so did the Pandavas.

So, when these things have been proven, they should be a part of history, and not be referred to as mythological stories.”

Bharadwaj, who was last seen in the film ‘Kedarnath’ back in 2018, has been a part of several other Hindi and Marathi projects over the years.
