No one will be left in opposition parties: Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Solapur

Amid the inundation of opposition leaders joining the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Maharashtra, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday jabbed the Congress and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) saying that everyone will join BJP except Prithviraj Chavan and Sharad Pawar.

If BJP opens its doors completely, no one will be left in the respective opposition parties, except for Sharad Pawar and Prithviraj Chavan,” said Amit Shah while addressing a rally in Solapur.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah was in South Maharashtra’s Solapur to address a rally while concluding the second phase of BJP’s ongoing election campaign – ‘Mahajanadesh Yatra’ - launched by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on August 1.

This comes after Congress and NCP leaders were inducted in the BJP in the presence of Amit Shah. Former Congress MP from Kolhapur Lok Sabha constituency, Dhannajya Mahadi joined BJP followed by Congress MLA Jaikumar Gore, along with NCP leader Ranajagjitsihn Patil – relative and close aide to Sharad Pawar.

Moreover, the speculation of senior NCP leader Vijaysihn Mohite-Patil joining BJP has escalated after he was seen on the stage in Solapur while NCP leader Udyan Raje Bhosale will join the party in Delhi. Congress’ Harsh Vardhan Patil will also be inducted in the ruling party ahead of the upcoming elections.
