No party in position to form Alwar board

Jaipur: With no party in a position to form the board in Alwar, Independents will be key to both the BJP and the Congress. Out of 65 wards, BJP won in 27 wards, Congress in 20 and Independents in 18 wards. In Bhiwadi, where BJP had been ruling for the last 10 years, the party would have to lure Independents to form the board. BJP and Congress both won 23 seats each, while Independents emerged victorious on 12 seats.

The results sprung up many surprises in Alwar as well. Mother and son duo Kamla Devi and Mukesh, both emerged as winner in Alwar municipality. Kamla Devi won from ward 5 and her son from ward 6.
