Notice to exam centre heads over 'cheating'

AGRA: The secondary education department has issued a show-cause notice to the exam centre coordinator concerned after a CCTV footage of showed students interacting with one another during an exam there. Notice has been also issued to four other exam centre coordinators for sending improper CCTV recording of the exams.



The CCTV recordings of exam centres are being checked at the computer room of the Government Inter College, Shahganj.

District inspector of schools (DIOS) has sought a clarification from coordinator of the exam centre located on Jalesar road. The February 16 CCTV recording of the centre at around 11:05 am shows the irregularities taking place. The footage shows students talking to each other purportedly for cheating in the footage.

In the notice, the DIOS has warned that the exam centre will be debarred if proper clarification is not provided.

A notice has also been issued to the principals of four exam centres for sending an empty pen drive or those showing error in accessing the recording.

DIOS Ravindra Singh said, “Recordings of all the exams have been checked thoroughly. In case of irregularities, a clarification is sought from the coordinator of the exam centre concerned. On basis of the clarification, suitable action will be taken. Strict action will be taken against exam centres supporting cheating during the exam or any other malpractices.”
