Now when I visit Prayagraj I see a new modern city: Mudit Nayar

Born and brought up in Prayagraj , Ishaaron Ishaaron Mein actor Mudit Nayar has spent some memorable time in his home town. “My fondest memories are of the Kumbh Mela when my parents use to take us for late night drives in the mela area. The area that used to be all lit up, just looked ethereal and breathtakingly beautiful during night.

The sound of spiritual discourses, the smell of the incense sticks used to add to the experience, that is still etched in my memory,” says Mudit
Another favourite time of the year for the Anamika actor in his hometown used to be Dussehra and Durga Puja . “I feel Prayagraj boasts of one of the best Dussehra in the country. The celebration spans across several days during which the streets are decorated with beautiful lighting and tableaux depicting episodes from Ramayan are taken out till late night. Everyone is in a festive mood .The same goes for Durga Puja. Beautiful pandals are set up which are a splendid display of craftsmanship. As a child I used to do a lot of pandal hopping and used to enjoy a lot.”

He also remembers his school days at Boys’ High School. “I had a great time there, and I used to bunk classes as well. Watching films was my favourite pastime. Enjoying films, sitting in the balcony, in single screen theatres, had a different feel all together,” he says.
“Now when I visit Prayagraj I see a new modern city, with a developed infrastructure, well kept parks , beautified roads and crossings. The roads I used to ride my bicycle on are much better today. Everything is new yet I am glad that it still feels like the old Allahabad (Prayagraj) I fell in love with. I am glad the feel and the spirit of the city is still the same. During my last trip I went to the Bade Hanuman temple near river Ganga. The crowd of devotees was still the same like it used to be, it all felt so good and close my heart,” says the actor also seen in teleshow Devanshi.
“In conclusion I would like to say that although Prayagraj has changed in a lot of ways in the last ten years, fortunately the spirit and the goodness of the city is still alive and thriving,” he adds.
