'Number of cases will settle down'
Nashik: District guardian minister Chhagan Bhujbal on Wednesday said that the rising number of Covid-19 cases will soon settle down and coronavirus will soon be part of our lives.
“There are just three Covid-19 patients across the district on ventilator, 16 are on oxygen and another 364 who are recuperating of the total 62 lakh population in the district.
The rise in cases in Nashik would also settle down just as the cases in Malegaon,” Bhujbal said after reviewing the Covid-19 situation.
There are total 1,384 patients in the district of which 919 have been cured and discharged — a recovery rate of 66%. Malegaon has a recovery rate of 80.39%.
“Since businesses have opened up there is more movement of the people and it is likely to increase the number of cases. The thrust is on recovery and we believe things would settle down sooner than later,” Bhujbal said.
