Odisha: Four doctors suspended, CDMO shunted out in Puri

Puri: Dr. Amarendra Nath Mohanty has been named the Chief District Medical Officer of Puri district today.

He will succeed Dr. Narahari Moharana for this post. Mohanty has earlier held posts of DMO and DPHO in Malkangiri district and ADMO in Puri.

Furthermore, four doctors in Puri have been suspended today for dereliction of duty during Cyclone FANI by Health and Family Welfare Department.

These doctors, Jakesh Samantaray, Bapuji Nayak, Jahana Parween and Jasmine Nilima Panda were reportedly absent in their place of posting in the aftermath of the cyclone.
