Odisha MP in home quarantine after returning from Delhi

Rayagada: Congress MP Saptagiri Ulaka has been quarantined for 14 days at his home in Rayagada after returning to Odisha from Delhi.

On arrival from the national capital, the parliamentarian from Koraput underwent medical screening by a team of health department at his home.

A quarantine notice has been put up by Rayagada Municipality in front of his house.

As per COVID-19 quarantine policy, he will be under home quarantine for a period of 14 days till June 8.

According to reports, Ulaka was unable to make his way back to Odisha after attending the summer session of the Parliament due to lockdown.

Following announcement of nationwide complete lockdown on March 24 in battle against COVID-19, Ulaka was stranded in Delhi and he was unable to make his way back to Odisha after attending the summer session of the Parliament.

With relaxation of lockdown norms, the Lok Sabha MP boarded a flight and reached Bhubaneswar from where he travelled to home in Rayagada by road.
