Odisha's VIMSAR gets new director

Sambalpur: The Odisha Government has appointed Dr. Lalit Kumar Meher as the new director of Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR), Burla.

Dr. Meher was earlier working as the dean and principal of Bhima Bhoi Medical College & Hospital, Balangir. His new appointment is for a term of three years from the date on which he assumes charge or till he attains the age of 65, whichever is earlier.

The post has been lying vacant for more than a year after Dr. Aswini Pujahari resigned on February 9, 2019.
