One dead as truck hits motorcycle in Amethi

Amethi, Aug 17  A 27-year-old man was killed when his motorcycle was hit by a truck here on Saturday, police said.

The accident took place on the Amethi-Gauriganj national highway when Rajesh was going towards Gauriganj, SHO Gauriganj Pramod Kumar Pandey said.

The man sustained serious injuries and was taken to the district hospital but was declared brought dead by the doctors, they said.

The body has been sent for post-mortem, they added.
