One more death, 51 new cases: Odisha

 

Bhubaneswar: A patient of Odisha’s Ganjam area capitulated to the dangerous coronavirus infection, taking the state’s complete setbacks to seven, official sources said Thursday.

Other than one demise, 51 people tried constructive for COVID-19, taking the state’s aggregate to 1,103. The new cases are from Ganjam (4), Jajpur (5), Cuttack (9), Puri (1), Jagatsinghpur (2), Nayagarh (11), Angul (2), Mayurbhanj (3), Kalahandi (11), Sambalpur (2) and Malkangiri (1).

Of the 11 cases from Kalahandi, 10 had been isolated on come back from outstations (eight from Maharashtra and one each from Chhattisgarh and Gujarat) and the staying one is nearby individual. The 11 cases detailed in Nayagarh are all Surat returnees and was isolated.

The entirety of the nine positive cases revealed in Cuttack had come back from Telengana and were in isolate. Also, the five cases announced from Jajpur are Tamil Nadu returnees isolated on return.

Of the four new cases in Ganjam, three had come back from Surat and had been isolated and the staying one is a neighborhood case. All the three COVID-10 patients detailed from Mayurbhanj are Andhra Pradesh returnees (isolated). The two new cases in Jagatsinghpur had been in isolate focus since their arrival from Maharashtra.

Of the two cases surfaced in Angul, one is Tamil Nadu returnee and the subsequent one is Andhra Pradesh returnee. They had been in isolate focus. So also, of the two detailed from Sambalpur, one is West Bengal returnee and had been in isolate focus and the staying one is a nearby case.

While the case detailed from Puri is a West Bengal returnee and had been in isolate focus, the one revealed from Malkangirir had been in isolate on come back from Tamil Nadu.

The Health and Family Welfare Department guaranteed that contact following of the recently contaminated is in progress.

With 51 new cases, the quantity of dynamic cases in Odisha flooded to 753 while the quantity of recouped patients currently remains at 343.
