One Piece Anime On Cartoon Network India Soon!

One Piece anime on Cartoon Network India is a dream come true for Indian otakus who have long lost their daily injection of anime on local TV channels ever since channels like Animax and Toonami were discontinued.  With the fame and demand for One Piece, however, fans can soon watch the One Piece anime on Cartoon Network India.

The latest breaking news for Indian anime fans is that we may soon have One Piece anime on Cartoon Network India- the go-to channel for cartoons in India. Official Instagram and Facebook channels of Cartoon Network India have teased fans with a picture of Luffy’s iconic Strawhat hinting that the anime will soon be streamed across India in Cartoon Network.

According to the latest reports and official advertisements, Cartoon Network India will air One Piece’s Wano Arc in Hindi dub across the country. We don’t know if the English dub will also air alongside in a different time slot but we can still hope for it. It’s safe to say it won’t air in the original Japanese with subtitles as it won’t gain viewers in India.

One Piece and Naruto used to be streamed on Indian channels back in the day and One Piece specifically was available on Cartoon Network India itself. But back in the day, they had the 4kids Version which is a watered-down, English dubbed version of the anime- and it’s in no way faithful to the original. A lot of it was censored for children’s viewing.

Since we know only the Wano Arc of One Piece will be aired, we can expect other regional dubs aside from the basic Hindi dub. The voice actors for the Hindi dub of One Piece in India have not been revealed yet but we hope to have that information soon. If this venture is a success we can also expect more One Piece arcs to be aired in India- possibly even from the start in East Blue.

But one thing we can say for sure is that if this is a success, fans can expect more anime on Indian channels. You can also click here to read about Crunchyroll’s latest announcements for Indian audiences.
