Bhubaneswar: BJD pioneer Soumya Ranjan Patnaik Thursday unequivocally restricted a proposition by the ISKCON Ludhiana unit to sort out the yearly Rath Yatra on an alternate date, and encouraged the Odisha boss clergyman to take up the issue with his Punjab partner.

The issue was brought by Patnaik up in the get together, who refered to reports that the International Society for Krishna Consciousness’ (ISKCON) Ludhiana unit was wanting to hold Lord Jagannath’s yearly Rath Yatra November 16.

The celebration is typically seen on the second day of ‘sukla pakshya’ in the long stretch of ‘Asadha’, according to the Hindu schedule.

“Boss Minister Naveen Patnaik should take up the issue with his Punjab partner and guarantee that ISKCON isn’t permitted to lead Lord Jagannth’s Rath Yatra in November,” he said.”People of Odisha may rebel against ISKCON on the off chance that they… hurt the religious conclusions of Hindus,” Patnaik claimed.
