Over 1,000 fresh cases, 32 COVID-19 deaths: Punjab

 

Punjab on Tuesday revealed a record 32 fatalities due to COVID-19, pushing the loss of life to 636, while 1,002 new cases took the state’s disease count to 25,889.

Upwards of 11 fatalities were accounted for in Ludhiana, four in Sangrur, three each in Amritsar, Patiala, Jalandhar and Mohali, and one each in Gurdaspur, Bathinda, Kapurthala, Muktsar and Tarn Taran, as per a clinical notice.

Among regions which detailed new cases are Ludhiana (252), Patiala (118), Amritsar (118), Mohali (83), Hoshiarpur (77), Pathankot (64), Jalandhar (54) and Bathinda (38).

A sum of 1,055 COVID-19 patients were released in the wake of recuperating from the disease. Up until this point, 16,790 individuals have been relieved of the disease.

There are 8,463 dynamic COVID-19 cases in the express, the release said.

Upwards of 21 patients are basic and on a ventilator, while 139 are on oxygen support, the notice said.

The state has till now tried 6,97,327 examples for COVID-19.
