Palaruvi Express augmented with 4 sleeper coaches from today

Madurai: The Tirunelveli – Palakkad – Tirunelveli Palaruvi Express (Train no. 16791/16792) will be augmented with four sleeper class coaches from Saturday and Sunday respectively. The revised composition of the trains will be four sleeper class, six general second class and two luggage-cum-brake van coaches.

Meanwhile, Southern Railway has announced the operation of special trains between Tirunelveli and Tambaram to clear the extra rush during the festival season.

Train no. 06048 Tirunelveli – Tambaram special will leave Tirunelveli at 9.40pm on October 5 and reach Tambaram at 10am the next day. Train no. 06047 Tambaram – Tiruchendur special will leave Tambaram at 4.45pm on October 6 and reach Tiruchendur at 5.20am the next day. The train will have an AC 2-tier, three AC 3-tier, 12 sleeper class and two luggage-cum-brake van coaches.

Train no. 06049 Tambaram – Tiruchendur special will leave Tambaram at 4.45pm on October 7 and reach Tiruchendur at 5.20am the next day. Train no. 06050 Tiruchendur – Tambaram special will leave Tambaram at 7.30pm on October 9 and reach Tambaram at 10am the next day. The train will have two AC 2-tier, 10 sleeper class and two luggage-cum-brake van coaches.

Train no. 01703 special fare special will run from Tirunelveli to Jabalpur Junction on October 5, 12, 19 and 26 and on November 2 (Saturdays). The trains with start from Tirunelveli at 4pm and reach Jabalpur at 3.50pm on Mondays. The train will have one AC 2-tier, four AC 3-tier, 11 sleeper class, four general second class and two luggage-cum-brake van coaches.

The train will have stoppages at Kovilpatti, Sattur, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Dindigul, Trichy, Karur, Namakkal, Rasipuram, Salem, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Tiruttani, Renigunta, Gudur, Nellore, Ongole, Vijayawada, Khammam, Warangal, Ramagundam, Sirpurkagazhnagar, Balarshah, Wardha, New Amaravati, Narkher, Jujharpur, Itarsi, Pipariya, Gadarwara and Narsinghpur.

The timing of Ernakulam - Rameswaram special train (train no. 06033) has been revised on October 14, 21 and 28. The train will start from Ernakulam at 7pm and reach Rameswaram at 7.30am the next day.

Stoppage of the train is as follows: Aluva (7.20pm), Thrissur (8.10pm), Palakkad (9.45pm), Palakkad Town (10pm), Kollengode (10.25pm), Pollachi (11.25pm), Udumalaipettai (12.05am), Palani (12.53am), Oddanchatram (1.14am), Dindigul (2.40am), Madurai (3.45am), Manamadurai (4.35am), Paramakudi (5.15am), Ramanathapuram (5.40am), Uchippuli (6am) and Mandapam (6.16am).
