Panchkula: Crook with hook gets electrician killed

PANCHKULA: Pinjore electrician Sanjeev Kumar took a fatal jolt while helping a liquor trader fix his alleged illegal connection . The trader was booked for causing death by negligence.


Saneev's brother, Sunil Kumar of Khedawali, told police that village liquor contractor Rakesh Kumar had called the electrician over to check a fault in a cable he had hooked to the main line.

After a while, Sanjeev was found unconscious in a field under that point. He was moved to the community health centre of Kalka, where doctors declared him brought dead. The cause was given to be electrocution.

His family took the matter to cops, who registered a case under Section 304-A (death due to negligence) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at the Pinjore police station.
