Panchkula: Miscreants thrash staff, snatch Rs 12,000
PANCHKULA: Unknown persons came at a mining site and took away Rs 12,000 and a mining book from two persons after thrashing them at a crusher point in Kalka . A snatching case has been registered.
Gulshan Kumar, a resident of Kurukshetra , Haryana , reported to the police that he had the tender of a river near Karanpur village.
Around 10.30am, he was at his work and a few people on motorcycles came and started thrashing his employees.
The accused than took away Rs 12,000 in cash and a diary from them and fled from the spot.
The police were called on the spot. The registration number of the motorcycle was noted by the victim. The police have registered a complaint under section 379-A (punishment for snatching) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Pinjore police station.
Assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Anand Kumar, investigation officer, said: “We have registered a case and are investigating the matter.”
