Patiala: Floating light & sound show on the occasion of 550th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji from Thursday

PATIALA: A two-day long floating light and sound show commemorating 550th birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji will take place on the waters of Sutlej river. The show will be held on Thursday and Friday at the backside of Ropar Headworks Office near Canal Rest House .

The first show will be held from 6.45 to 7.30pm and the second show will start immediately after that.

To celebrate the spiritual fervour of the Prakash Purb, there will be two shows of floating light & sound both days.

Ropar Deputy Commissioner Sumeet Jarangal while taking stock of the arrangements exhorted the officials of the district administration to ensure grand success of the event and make all necessary arrangements well in advance. He said that after this the float will be ferried to Ludhiana district where a similar show will be held at Talwandi village on October 23.

He appealed people to participate wholeheartedly in this event. He said that entry for the event will be free and all the arrangements have been taken place for the convenience of the visitors. He also exhorted the officials to aware more and more public especially villagers about the show, so that they would not be deprived of this special spiritual programme.
