Patna: Congress protest march on Sunday

PATNA: Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee (BPCC) is set to organize a protest march in the state capital on Sunday against the policies of the NDA government. The march will be led by Congress state incharge Shaktisinh Gohil.

State Congress president Madan Mohan Jha said, “The march will commence from Sadaqat Ashram and will converge at Shaheed Smarak where issues like unemployment, economic slowdown and problems being faced by the farmers will be raised.

Even the state government’s failure will be highlighted during the march.”

Congress MLC Prem Chandra Mishra said party members will be carrying placards, posters and slogans will be raised against the NDA government’s policies. He said, “It will be a big procession and party members from all the districts will be participating in it.”

In a meeting chaired by Congress national president Sonia Gandhi in September this year it was decided to organize a nationwide agitation against the NDA government over its economic policies and failure of the government on fulfilling the promises it made. Similar protests are also being held in all the district headquarters. “On Thursday, a similar protest was organized in Patna , Kaimur, Bhojpur and Begusarai,” said state Congress spokesperson HK Verma and added that such protests will continue in other districts till November 24.
