Permission approve for restructuring of Panchayats in Himachal

Shimla: Due to Corona, many works in the country have been interrupted. Meanwhile, the Himachal government has given permission for restructuring of panchayats and setting up of new panchayats. Preparations have been made to make Mandi, Solan and BBN a municipal corporation. Chaired by CM Jairam Thakur at Hotel Peterhoff, it was discussed in the cabinet meeting.

Proposals were made to the government on behalf of all the Deputy Commissioners on making Mandi, Solan and BBN a municipal corporation.

The government has put forward its principle on this that it can be done if certain conditions are fulfilled. The cabinet approved to make Shahpur as a Nagar Panchayat. 7 posts will be created for this. It has been decided to make Nagar Panchayat Sarkaghat a city council. The cabinet has also authorized the Urban Development Department for the decision to make Amb, Ani and Nirmand as town panchayats to tell whether they fulfill these instructions.

On the other hand, the corona epidemic in the state died on Tuesday. The infected woman (70) of Sandhol in the district died at Nerchowk Medical College, Mandi. This is the third death in three consecutive days and the 16th in the state so far. Confirming the death, Senior Medical Superintendent of Nerchowk Hospital, Dr. Jeevanand Chauhan said that the elderly also had complaints of BP and diabetes. The number of corona infected is continuously increasing in the state.
