PGI Chandigarh organises interventional cardiology meet

CHANDIGARH: An interventional cardiology meet was organized by the Department of Cardiology, PGI , Chandigarh in collaboration with US based Complex Cardiovascular Catheter (C3) Interventional Academy on Sunday which was nearly 100 doctors of concerned field participated.

Dr Rajesh Vijayvergiya from department of cardiology, PGI who was also the organizing secretary of the meet said that the purpose of the meeting was to share the knowledge, challenges and achievement among the cardiologist of the region. Dr Raj Dave, Chairman, C3 International Academy, US who was the course co-director commented that such collaborative and interactive meeting will help to spread the advanced treatment and technology in the region.

Eminent cardiologists of the region delivered the lectures on various aspects of advanced treatment/technology including coronary angioplasty of chronic total occlusion, bifurcation and left main lesions, role of intravascular imaging, percutaneous aortic valve replacement, cardiac transplantation, and systemic vasculitis .

About 15 challenging and complex cases of were presented by a few experts who was of great educational learning for those all who attended the meet.
