Police lathi-charge to control situation, Asansol: Violence

Kolkata: After a BJP-called a rally to submit nomination on the cut-cash issue before the Asansol Municipal Corporation in West Bengal turned fierce Friday police hurled nerve gas shells and depended on lathi-charge on the activists.

The police set up blockades at the West Burdwan locale town at a point enabling just a portion of the delegates to push forward yet the political activists broke the limitations and pelted stones, a senior official of Asansol Durgapur Police Commissionerate said.
