Postal officer booked for fraud in Shahdol

Bhopal: CBI has registered a case against sub post-master, Shahdol district for alleged forgery.

According to the FIR, AD Dwivedi, conspired with other people and committed a fraud by increasing the denomination, balance amount, alteration of numbers and names in the Sanchay Post recurring deposit (RD) accounts.

CBI officials say he committed fraud by increasing the amount in Sanchay Post monthly income scheme (MIS) accounts, thereby misappropriated amount to the tune of around Rs28,29,284 and caused wrongful loss to the postal department and corresponding loss to himself. Investigations are underway.
