Ludhiana: The Punjab Small Industries and Export Corporation Limited (PSIEC) will hold auction of industrial plots and commercial Sites in different Focal Points developed in the state soon.
Details regarding available properties and eligibility criteria for purchasing the same will be made public during this week.
This was informed by Gurpreet Gogi, chairman of the PSIEC, who said auction would be held for industrial plots in Focal Points of various cities, including Ludhiana and Mandi Gobindgarh.
Giving more information, Gogi said: “Accepting the long pending demands of businessmen who have been seeking opportunity to set up industrial units in Focal Points which have robust infrastructure, we have decided to conduct auction of vacant plots in Focal Points of Ludhiana, Mandi Gobindgarh, Abohar, Amritsar, Batala, Goindwal Sahib, Kapurthala, Mohali, Nawashahar and Pathankot very soon. Last minute formalities like eligibility criteria and timeline for auction and payments by successful bidders is being finalised and we are hopeful that we will be able to release the list of all properties along with reserve price which will be auctioned by this week.”
Gogi said: “We will make sure that the entire auction process is conducted with full transparency and this time the PSEIC will also auction some commercial properties at some places. Besides this, we also plan to auction petrol pump sites at Focal Points in different parts of Punjab.”
He said the repair work on the damaged infrastructure at Focal Points of Ludhiana was also being carried on at a fast pace and the PSIEC had also started work on concrete roads in some sections of the Focal Points.
