Puja special trains to run till November 5

PATNA: The railways has decided to run a pair of weekly Puja special trains (04009/04010) between Anand Vihar Terminal and Jogbani railway station under the Samastipur division of the East Central Railway (ECR) till November 5.

According to ECR’s chief public relations officer (CPRO) Rajesh Kumar, the train will leave Anand Vihar Terminal at 11.45pm every Tuesday and reach Jogbani at 5.20am on Thursday.

“On its return journey, it will leave Jogbani at 9am every Thursday and reach Anand Vihar Terminal at 4.05pm the following day. It will run via the Gorakhpur-Siwan-Chhapra-Hajipur-Barauni route and stop at Ghaziabad, Moradabad, Chandausi, Bareilly Cantonment, Sitapur, Gonda, Basti, Gorakhpur, Deoria Sadar, Siwan, Chhapra, Sonepur, Hajipur, Shahpur Patori, Barauni, Begusarai, Khagaria, Naugachhia, Katihar, Purnia and Araria,” Kumar told this newspaper on Tuesday and added the load combination of the trains were of 14 coaches.

Meanwhile, the Secunderabad-Raxaul special train (07091/07092), which began its journey on Tuesday, will now run till November 29 to cope with the rush of passengers during the festive season. The CPRO said, “It left Secunderabad at 9.40pm on Tuesday and will reach Raxaul at 4.15pm on Thursday. On its return journey, it will leave Raxaul at 12.45pm on Friday and reach Secunderabad at 5.55am on Sunday. It will run via the Sitamarhi-Darbhanga-Samastipur-Barauni-Mokama-Patna Junction route.”

Besides, the Secunderabad-Barauni special train (07009/07010), which is set to start its journey on October 6, will also run till November 29 via the Begusarai-Munger-Kiul-Nawada-Gaya-Koderma-Gomoh-Bokaro-Muri-Ranchi route. It will leave Secunderabad at 10.15pm every Sunday and reach Barauni at 11.40am on Tuesday. On its return journey, it will leave Barauni at 7.10am every Wednesday and reach Secunderabad at 10.40pm the next day.
