Pulwama terror attack: Assam CM gives appointment letter to martyr's daughter

GUWAHATI: Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Sunday handed over an appointment letter to the daughter of Pulwama martyr head constable Maneswar Basumatari appointing her as the state government’s assistant tourist information officer.


“This is to honour the supreme sacrifice made by martyr Maneswar Basumatari,” Sonowal said after handing over the appointment letter to the soldier’s 24-year-old daughter Didwam Shree at their home at Tamulpur in Baksa district.

It was also the shradh of the fallen soldier on Sunday.

Bodoland Territorial Council chief Hagrama Mohilary also announced that a statue of the CRPF martyr will be installed at the Bodofa Culturla Complex at Kokrajhar and the road from Tamulpur to Goreswar will be named as Sawhid Maneswar Basumatari Road.
