Pune: Sixth in net for parading man naked

PUNE: The Kondhwa police on Thursday evening arrested the sixth suspect for abducting garage operator Raj Bhogappa Shinge (31) from Yevalewadi in a high-end SUV and parading him naked in the Kharadi area on the night intervening Saturday and Sunday.

The police also seized the SUV, worth about Rs 1crore, used in the crime and identified the arrested man as Faizan Chand Shaikh (25) of MG Road in Camp.

A local court on Thursday remanded the five men arrested earlier — Saher Gulam Gaus Shaikh (36), Matin, alias Naushad Khan (24), Rahil Israr Shaikh (25) and Siddhique Idris Shaikh (28) of Bhavani Peth and Umed Ali Shaikh (24) of Parvati Payatha — in police custody till November 25.

All the six men used to get luxury cars and SUVs for servicing at Shinge’s garage and take hefty commissions from him.
