Punjab: African national arrested for supplying drugs in Fatehgarh Sahib

FATEHGARH SAHIB: The Fatehgarh Sahib district in Punjab on Monday arrested an African national for supplying drugs .


Splair Sunde alias Emeka Ekechi was arrested with 200 grams of heroin from Vipan Garden near Uttam Nagar in New Delhi.

SSP Amneet Kondal said the anti-narcotic cell of the district police had recently recovered 1 kg heroin from one Jaswinder Singh alias Toni of Mandi Gobindgarh during a special checking.



During the interrogation, Jaswinder Singh revealed the name of Nigerian citizen Splair Sunde alias Emeka Ekechi who was supplying heroin and cocaine to him. Based on this information, the special team was sent to nab Ekechi to Delhi where he was arrested along with the narcotic.

The SSP said that earlier also a case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (NDPS) was registered at Samrala police station and 2 kg heroin and 40 gram cocaine was recovered from him. He was produced before a local court which sent him on police remand till August 21.
