Punjab: Foriegn national held with 300gm heroin in Fatehgarh Sahib

FATEHGARH SAHIB: Police on Tuesday arrested a foreign national of African origin in Delhi and recovered 300 gm heroin from him that was hidden and kept at Sirhind town of Fatehgarh Sahib. The accused has been identified as Johan alias Gavi alias Cheimeka.


Fatehgarh Sahib SSP Amneet Kondal said that a few days back CIA staff led by Harpal Singh SP (Investigation) and Fatehgarh Sahib SHO Vinod Kumar had nabbed two accused at a police checkpoint and recovered 98gm of heroin from the accused identified as Kuldeep Singh and Rajat.



SSP said that during the interrogation the accused revealed that they had brought the heroin worth Rs 1.5 Lakh from a foreign national Johan alias Gavi alias Cheimeka residing near Dwarka Metro Station.

She said that police teams were constituted and a raid was conducted at the residence of John near Dwarka Metro Station Delhi who was immediately arrested and brought to Fatehgarh Sahib.

"On the basis of the information revealed by the accused during the interrogation, we have recovered 300gm heroin. The accused had placed it at an abandoned place near Naina Devi Temple, Sirhind when he had visited Fatehgarh Sahib some time back to deliver it to a client but when the client did not come to collect the parcel then he had placed it there. The accused admitted that he had been supplying heroin regularly to the arrested youth Kuldeep and Rajat."

SSP said that the accused has also revealed that he works as an agent for a big player name Okale. She said that the police would nab him soon.
