Punjab Government would ensure memorable celebrations at sultanpur lodhi : Charanjit Singh Channi

Tourism and cultural affairs minister of Punjab Charanjit Singh Channi today said that the Punjab Government would leave no stone unturned for the grand celebration of 550th Parkash purab af sultanpur lodhi as it would be a life time event for many which would be remembered for decades .Today after reviewing the ongoing work at main pandal near Gurdwara Shri Ber sahib and Tent city 3 near village Machijova alongwith MLA Navtej Singh Cheema , Deputy commissioner  DPS Kharbanda,  Director tourism MS Jaggi , the Minister said that all development projects would be completed on or before October 22 for trail run .

He also said that the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh would dedicate the development projects worth Rs. 400 crore to the people on the October 23. Besides that CM would also laid the foundation stone to named the sultanpur lodhi - Dera Baba Nanak road via subhanpur -Beas - Batala as "Guru Nanak Marg "  to connect these two historic cities .He further  said that to ensure the grand celebration at the tiny city , he would permanently stationed here. 

He also said that the Punjab Government has invited the high dignatries across the globe for celebration by following the philosophy of Guru Nanak Dev ji . He said that many foreign ambassadors,  chief ministers of many states, prominent personalities from other countries would also attend the function .Talking about the projects to be inaugurated by the Chief Minister , MLA Navtej Singh Cheema said that it includes Bus stand, Two bridges on holy bein ( Talwandi chaudriyan and Machijova ) , two pantoon  bridges on holy bein , PWD Rest house , High level bridge near village Busowal , state of the art 66 KV sub station at Arya smaj chowk which provides under ground electricity supply.Later  on , the Minister also presided over a meeting of civil officials to review the preparations for gurpurab celebrations.  The minister has urged the officials to fulfill the projects with a sewa bhawna as it's the opportunity for all of them to serve the 60 lakh pilgrims.Prominent amongst present on the occasion included ADC Rahul chabha, SDM Dr. Charumita, Mr. Varinder Pal Singh Bajwa and Mr. Randeep Singh Heer,  OSD for 550th Gurpurab celebrations Navneet kaur bal and senior officials from various departments.
