Puran Chand murder case: Gangster held

AMBALA: In connection with a murder case registered at Naraingarh police station, the Ambala police arrested gangster Shubham Prajapat alias Bigni of Mughalpura village in Uklana block of Hisar district on production warrant from Khanna on Thursday.


Shubham was wanted by Ambala police for the murder of Puran Chand of Mahuwa Kheri village.

Puran was shot dead by notorious gangster Mohit Mental of the same village and his accomplice Shubham and others on July 2 at their village following an old rivalry. Puran was a witness to Randhir Singh murder case in which Mohit Mental was the accused.

On July 2, a case was filed on the complaint of Sunehra Lal, brother of deceased Puran at Naraingarh police station. Ambala police said after his arrest on Thursday, Shubham was presented before the court in Ambala on Friday and sent to seven-day police remand with Naraingarh CIA.
