Rahul Gandhi helps fix helicopter glitch in Himachal's Una, shares photo on social media

New Delhi: Congress president Rahul Gandhi shared a picture of him helping fix his helicopter that developed a technical snag in Himachal Pradesh’s Una.

Gandhi posted the photo on his Instagram with a caption: "Good teamwork means all hands to the deck! We had a problem with our helicopter in Una, HP today, that working together we quickly fixed.

Nothing serious, thankfully.”

In the picture that received over 90,000 likes, the Congress chief can be seen lying down on the ground and examining the glitch in the chopper.

Gandhi’s photo garnered immense appreciation from the social media users who praised him for his “humility” and “simplicity”.

The Congress chief was on his way to rally in Una and Mandi in Himachal Pradesh when his chopper broke down. Gandhi, who is contesting the Lok Sabha elections from two seats-Amethi and Wayanad, has been campaigning in several states. Himachal Pradesh will go to polls in the last day of the seven-phased Lok Sabha elections, on May 19. The results will be announced on May 23.

This is not the first time that his chopper suffered a technical glitch. Last month, Gandhi, who was scheduled to hold three public meetings in Bihar, Orissa and Maharashtra, said that he was forced to return to Delhi after engine trouble was reported in his flight to Patna.

"Engine trouble on our flight to Patna today! We’ve been forced to return to Delhi. Today’s meetings in Samastipur (Bihar), Balasore (Orissa) & Sangamner (Maharashtra) will run late. Apologies for the inconvenience," he had tweeted.
