Rain and relief fall on city

Ahmedabad: The city was lashed by rain and relief on Wednesday evening. The rainfall average was 2.5mm. Bodakdev and Gota received 6.5mm and 5.5mm rainfall respectively.

Civic officials said that since the rain was not heavy, there were no reports of waterlogging or of trees being uprooted.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday said that there could be heavy rainfall across the state over the next three days.

According to the forecast, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely in Amreli, Bhavnagar, Navsari and Valsad on Thursday.
