JAMMU: The people of Baran Panchayat Monday complimented the former Minister and MLA Raipur Damana, Bali Bhagat for the development initiatives which he had taken in Baran Panchayat during his tenure as MLA of Raipur-Domana Constituency.

The programme was organized by Baba Chanchal Singh, a prominent social activist of the area. Speaking on the occasion, Baba Chanchal Singh said Bali Bhagat has done remarkable work in Raipur-Domana Constituency which Included establishment of 100 bedded Model Hospital at Kot- Bhalwal at a cost of Rs 22 crore and establishment of Government Degree College at Mishriwala at a cost of Rs 15 crore.

He said Bhagat has installed five electric transformers and got constructed Ratt-Chappri and Baran road during the last four years in Baran Panchayat.

While Addressing the public Bali Bhagat said during the last four years he worked hard at grass-root level for the upliftment of Panchayats of Raipur-Domana Constituency. He said road connectivity of Raipur-Domana constituency was in shambles prior to 2014. After assuming the charge in BJP-PDP led coalition Government ,construction of various roads were taken up which included widening of Amb-Gharota road,Gharota-Doomi road, Marjali-Kangrail road, Chack-Bhalwal road, Baran road, Purkhoo-Kanger Morh road, he added.

Highlighting the achievements, Bhagat said more than 120 transformers were installed at Panchayats of Raipur-Domana Constituency during the last four years to cope with the low voltage problem. He further said two vital bridges of Raipur-Domana constituency i.e. Nikki Tawi bridge & Kanger bridge have been constructed and construction work of Simblibala as well as Mishriwala bridge is going on at Ranbir canal While Paloura-BSF gate bridge was completed. Others who addressed the meeting were former BJP district president (rural) SukhDev Singh Jamwal and BJP general secretary of Muthi-Paloura Mandal Rajinder Singh.
