RAJKOT: The man who had been on the run after killing his wife in Kumbharadi village of Bhachau taluka in 2018 was nabbed in Mor Dungara village of Godhra taluka in Panchmahal district on Sunday.
Police said the accused, identified as Dinesh Nayak (35), had strangled his wife Sunita Nayak on November 16 in 2018.
“Sunita’s body was found on November 18 from a farm owned by Gambhirsinh Jadeja. The body was partly eaten by dogs. After postmortem, we launched a manhunt for Nayak as he had gone absconding after Sunita’s body was found,” said B S Suthar, inspector with Bhachau police station.
During his interrogation, Nayak said that he had killed Sunita as he was tired of frequent fights with her.
